What to Expect in Worship

On a Sunday morning at St. Andrew's, you can expect…

When you arrive, you will receive a friendly greeting at the door and a welcome to God’s house.  You will be shown to the sanctuary and given a bulletin, which outlines the order of worship for the day. An usher may lead you to a pew, if you wish, and is happy to give you any directions and information you may need.

The worship bulletin is printed on paper, which gives an outline of worship for the day.  Large print bulletins are available, as are hearing devices to assist those who are hearing impaired.  The bulletin includes most of the words for prayers, songs, scripture readings, announcements, and calendar for the week ahead.  All of this information is also projected onto a screen at the front of the sanctuary.

Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday at St. Andrew's.  It is here that we receive the body and blood of Christ, a tangible gift of God's forgiveness and loving acceptance.  Everyone is welcome at the Lord's table.  Gluten-free wafers are also available on request.

At the conclusion of our time of worship, we are reminded that we belong to God and are sent out into the world with joy to love and serve all of God's creation.

In between our times of worship, we gather for fellowship and conversation, and all are invited to enjoy each other’s company over a cup of coffee and donuts.
